Remote Part-Time Python Developer — AI Startup — €400/mo base + committed growth path to €700-900

Hello!
We are MindyCore, a small edtech startup building empathetic AI for neurodivergent minds (ADHD, autism, and minds that work differently). Our product Mindy is already online at [hellomindy.mindycore.com](http://hellomindy.mindycore.com) and we're gearing up for full launch in Spring 2026. We also partner with an NGO supporting 72 children in Uganda... purpose isn't a side project for us!
We are looking for a Python developer to join us part-time, long-term.
\*What you'd work on:\*
\- Backend development (Python, FastAPI or similar)
\- LLM API integrations (OpenAI, Anthropic)
\- Databases (PostgreSQL + vector DBs like Pinecone/Chroma)
\- Deployments with Docker, basic cloud/DevOps
\- CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions)
\- Authentication and security
\*What we're looking for:\*
\- 2+ years of Python experience
\- Comfortable with Docker and basic cloud deployments
\- Some experience with REST APIs and relational databases
\- Good written English (we're async-first)
\- Self-directed, reliable, and proactive
\- Genuine interest in AI (big plus: prior LLM/vector DB work)
\*The honest deal:\*
We're bootstrapped, and I want to be upfront about compensation:
\- \*Start:\* €400/month for \~25h/week (part-time, 100% remote, flexible hours)
\- \*Committed growth path\* (in writing for finalists):
\- Month 4: €500-600/month, 30h/week (after successful probation)
\- Month 7: €700-900/month, 35h/week (tied to concrete milestones — grant closing, product launch)
\- Equity conversation on the table for the right long-term fit
\- Real ownership of technical decisions, not a ticket-execution role
We have a grant closing soon and concrete projects lined up. The growth path isn't wishful thinking, it's tied to events with timelines.
Not a fit if: You need full-time salary today, or you're looking for a quick gig.
